Brief summary:
Greenways are networks of protected lands that are designed, planned and managed for multiple ecosystem services. Green Infrastructure is a concept for integrating ecological functions and services with basic urban infrastructure (transportation, urban drainage, waste processing). Greenways and green infrastructure each contribute to urban sustainability in important ways. The talk will illustrate these theories with international case examples.
